You may remember Ms. Basile from years ago when you used to check out books in the Kid’s room. Or you just might know her from around the Library. Either way this week is a sad week in Lib-land.

“After 14 years of employment with the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library, Children’s Services Manager, Paula Basile, will retire on February 4, 2011.”

But fear not, there’s still one last chance to say goodbye…

“The Library will host an informal going away open house for her during the day on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011. Everyone is welcome to attend to extend their good wishes to her for a long and fulfilling retirement.”

So stop in and wish Ms. Basile the best on her adventures outside the Lib!
