To Costume or Not to Costume…

October 28th, 2009

That is a very crucial question, seeing as Halloween is Saturday, a mere 3 days away! Never fear, we have some help on the way from book characters in case the old mask with regular clothes combo or the vampires fang gets well, older. Though a sparkly vampire might be a little bit more…interesting (can’t say I would recommend it).

The lovely people at Shmoop are here to help with some Lit. and History costumes that might even make your teachers happy. Plus they are wickedly awesome…can’t be bothered to click the link above (or here!) well then just scroll on down…

“8. Put on a long, plain dress and plaster a scarlet “A” to the front. Get your friend to dress like a priest. (The Scarlet Letter)” Hello possible English extra credit.

Personal fav…

“4. Put on a collared shirt, a tie, a long coat, and a red hunting hat. Carry a record under your arm and collect candy as Holden Caulfield. (The Catcher in the Rye)”

or…

“2. Dress up as Benjamin Franklin with a kite and singed hair. Be careful around the French maids.”

Can you say awesome? Happy costuming!
